Sony Vaio G Series (G11)

A new Vaio laptop from Sony. This one is probably the best notebook for business travellers available. Sony has perfected all three requirements of a traveller into this notebook: portability, durability and battery life. The Vaio G11 just weighs 1.12 kg including the battery and Sony made sure that everything is just perfect, so even reduced the size of the charger, which now just weighs 170g. Made out of carbon fibre, you can drop this lappy from 90 cms and it still won't harm it anyway. Furthermore, the battery life has been optimised to run a loooong 9 hours. That is just unbelievable.
The Sony comes with 1.33GHz Intel ULV Core Solo, fingerprint recognition, Dual-DVD drive, 12.1 inch XGA screen, Windows Vista Business and everything you can wish for.
It is available in Japan and from March in Europe.

Fujitsu Folding UMPC

Fujitsu's newest design for UMPC is totally based on the Origami principle. You can fold the UMPC into one-third of its original size and take it with you. Furthermore, it has gameboy-like buttons showing, if you fold it once, and a fingerprint reader too. This is still a design-version, but we hope that a working unit of this candy comes soon!

RTX Cordless DualPhone 3088 - Skype Phone

Finally, a Skype Phone has been released that can be used to make calls over Skype as well as normal landline. The great thing is that you don't even have to switch on your computer to make Skype calls. The phone base is connected to an Ethernet and a landline cable and can be put anywhere in the house. An LCD Display then lets you see, which contacts are online and lets you call them up. It is also DECT compatible, so you can plug in your existing phones too. Go for it!

Samsung SPH-P9000

Business travellers today need everything with them, yet nothing. This great device is exactly that. It is probably the smallest Windows XP hardware ever. The SPH-P9000 is a mobile phone and a UMPC. It has a 5-inch display, a keyboard that flies out like wings, camera, 30GB harddisk, 1ghz processor, USB, Bluetooth, Wimax, CDMA, and much more. Releasing in Korea early 2007. How I wish I would live in Korea.
